October 2023 saw the launch of Equine Veterinary Export Services in the South East of England. We are an independent veterinary practice focusing solely on veterinary services relating to the exportation of horses. We are happy to undertake everything from blood sampling, swabbing and premises supervision to the completion of the final export health certificates.
Beth is an Official Veterinarian and has spent the last several years working at Lingfield Equine Vets doing the majority of their export work. She has developed a passion for providing an exceptional service to a range of professional clients, shipping agents and horse owners which has inspired the creation of EVES. She is in a fantastic position to stay up to date with changes in the industry both through her strong working relationships with a range of shipping agents and by being a part of the monthly meeting that occurs between the industry and the APHA (the government department that oversees imports and exports of horses).
The first month was a great success, working with a range of shipping agents including Bramhams of Buckingham, Victor Gache Horse Transport and Equine Logistics to help multiple clients make their way to Olivia Nova in Spain, Germany, Belgium and more. We pride ourselves on making EHCs hassle free for our clients and are happy to work around your needs. This month we attended a British Showjumping show at Coomblelands Equestrian to undertake blood sampling for one client who needed the bloods urgently but also wanted to compete the horse in question. We also happily amended certificates free of charge, the evening before travel, for another client when it was necessary to make a last minute change to the vehicle the horses would be travelling in.
We have already received some wonderful, kind feedback from our fabulous clients and we can’t wait to work with lots more horse owners and riders to make their trips abroad as stress free as possible. We will be covering Kent, Sussex and Surrey as well as parts of Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. To make sure we are an affordable option for as many clients as possible our visits fees are calculated at just £1 a mile from our base near Tunbridge Wells (TN6 3QE).
We pride ourselves on making our prices both affordable and transparent. Our current price list can be found on our website, and we will never add mark ups or hidden fees to external services such as lab tests. Did you know that as of October 2023, the laboratory at the APHA Weybridge charge just £17.60 plus VAT for a coggins blood test (EIA) which is required for export to the EU.
If you would like to find out more about the services we offer please don’t hesitate to contact us on info@equineexports.co.uk, we would be thrilled to speak with you.
